A 1954 Ariel Square Four motorbike, 1000 cc, registration No. DS 6552, with V5, frame No. KR444, engine No. PL351. Odometer showing 12051 miles. The bike was assembled from parts all or some of which were not new when assembled when registered. Not in working order.
Estimate £7000 – £10000

A large quantity of motorbike parts mainly from Ariel, to include side car frame ( frame No. VC18 ), two motorbike frames ( frame No’s ET1550, CGM 1691: 1958 MKII Square Four and SC 548: 1951 MKI Square Four ), fuel tanks, mud guards, Vincent engine parts, suspension forks, handlebars, exhaust parts, engine blocks and parts, cogs, springs and many other items along with paperwork to include two V5’s and two log books (registration No’s OET 384 & OHW 469), workshop manuals for Ariel’s etc.

A Russian silver and parcel gilt tankard by Ovchinnikov. The body with two niello-work oval panels depicting scenes of the Kremlin and St. Basil's cathedral, surrounded by scrolling decoration and separated by a series of bands with gothic Cyrillic script beneath the lid. The lid itself featuring a bifurcated thumb piece and further scrolling and medallion decoration. Marked to base for 84 zolotnik silver. Moscow 1888. Makers mark for Pavel Akimov Ovchinnikov. Assay master probably Viktor Vasilyevich Savinsky. Approx weight 660g, h. 14.5 cm.
