W&H Peacock are delighted to welcome associations or groups to join us for one of our Insight Events at our Bedford Auction Centre. We offer both daytime and evening sessions with a range of catering and refreshments from our Cafe.
Next, the group will be invited downstairs and given the opportunity to peruse the salerooms whilst taking part in a light-hearted valuation competition. Guests will be asked to give their opinion of value on a range of items from antique furniture, paintings, silverware, ceramics, collectables through to ex-retail products, items of machinery, household effects and many other interesting items which are included in either our Monthly Antiques & Collectors Items Sale or one of our Weekly General Sales.
On completion of your estimates we will head back up to the auction centre café where your choice of food & drink will be served whilst we mark the competition and discuss some of the items in the sale. There will even be a prize for the winner with the highest score!
The evening will conclude with the opportunity for a short question and answer session with our team.
For groups looking to book an Insight Evening, we require a minimum of 40 people in your party up to a maximum of 70. Smaller groups looking to visit are welcomed to instead consider an Insight Day event where we are able to cater from 20 to 40 guests.
The Bedford auction centre boasts ample car parking onsite along with disabled access and lift to the gallery and Café area. Consisting of homemade chicken skewers, filled mini jacket potatoes, sausage rolls, mini quiches and crisps.
For an additional £2 we are happy to offer you homemade cheese straws, fresh tomato and basil bruschetta and a selection of olives.
To consist of a selection of cheese and chutney garnished with salad, grapes and celery, served with biscuits.
All of the above are served with a complimentary glass of red or white wine on arrival.
Tea/coffee and biscuits can be added to the above choices for £3 per person.
A small selection of homemade cakes served with tea and coffee.
There is ample car parking available at the saleroom, disabled access and lift to the gallery and cafe.
Next, the group will be shown downstairs to view items on display, en-route to our Specialist Saleroom. In the saleroom there will be an opportunity to take part in a short valuation of specific items and members of the group will be able to view lots for the forthcoming auction. With an auctioneer, we will then discuss a few of the items and their estimated worth / story behind the item.
Finally, we head back upstairs to our auction centre café overlooking the salerooms, where you can relax while our team serve your choice of lunch. The day will finish around 2.30pm.
For groups looking to book an Insight Day, we require a minimum of 20 people in your party up to a maximum of 30. Larger groups looking to visit are welcome to split their visit over two days (subject to availability) or are welcomed to instead consider an Insight Evening where we are able to cater for up to 80 guests.

Vegetarian option –
Vegetable enchilada (Mexican) with tomato sauce and cheese served with wedges and salad
Vegan option –
Chick pea, spinach, butternut squash and coconut curry served with basmati rice
Tea & coffee and a slice of cake will be served at the end of lunch
